Rorato Nominees Pty Ltd trading as Billabong Produce, is a privately owned Australian Company that has been operating as a family concern since 1966.
Billabong Produce is managed and operated by the Rorato Family. From primary production, harvest transport, tomato processing and product delivery, the family is dedicated to producing only the best quality tomato products.
Quality Assurance is achieved through;
- sustainably growing, processing and delivering Australian food which delights and exceeds expectations for taste, health, innovation and value for consumers around Australia.
- Monitoring performance and requiring assurance from contracted suppliers to ensure that they can meet our stipulated quality requirements throughout the contract.
Billabong Produce has a long standing commitment to providing tomato products that are safe, delivered on time and consistently please their customers. To do so, Billabong maintains an SQF 2000 HACCP Quality Assurance system, which ensures the quality, legality and integrity of its products and drives continuous improvement throughout the business.
The production of safe quality products is the responsibility of everyone at Billabong Produce, including contractors, suppliers and our own workforce. We are all part of a team, but that team can only achieve the goal of quality product through the efforts of each individual.
- Production of safe quality products is achieved by the guidelines and methods outlined in: Codex Alimentarius Alinorm: 2003/13A (HACCP) food Standards, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and the accompanying scope.
Good quality comes through good planning. Our approach is to “do it right the first time”, this is the key to quality production, improved productivity, control of costs, and customer satisfaction.
